Who we are

About Us

FencingMonitor turns short épée fencing videos into structured biomechanical reports, helping athletes and coaches understand movement patterns, issues, context, and evolution over time.

Discipline Built for épée fencing
Core output Structured biomechanical reports and contextual comparisons
Main input Short videos, up to 15 seconds each
Longitudinal Requires 5+ eligible comparable videos
Static Starts from 1 eligible video
Video quality Recording quality affects report reliability

What FencingMonitor is

FencingMonitor is an AI-assisted analysis service dedicated to épée fencing.

It transforms short eligible videos into structured reports about biomechanics, kinetic-chain behavior, issues, context, and evolution over time.

The system does not describe isolated instants. It reports dominant measured tendencies extracted from one clip or from comparable clips across time.

The method is built on measurement, modeling, and disciplined interpretation — not on refereeing, medical judgment, or guaranteed coaching outcomes.

What we do

Movement analysis

We analyze fencing movement from short eligible videos using pose estimation, biomechanical modeling, and structured analytical logic.

Structured reporting

We convert detected movement information into reports that are easier to read than raw numbers alone.

Performance interpretation

We help users understand movement quality, issues, selected findings, and context-specific behavior through a layered reporting system.

Performance support

We support athletes, coaches, clubs, and families who want clearer performance review across different fencing contexts.

How the service works

Upload

The user uploads one or more short videos recorded in acceptable technical conditions. Static analysis can start from one eligible video.

Processing

The system processes the video using pose estimation, biomechanical modeling, and analytical computation.

Reports

The user receives structured reports and interpretative output for performance review. Longitudinal views require at least 5 eligible comparable videos.

Important note

Analysis quality depends on recording conditions and uploaded video quality. Poor framing, blur, occlusion, unstable camera, or missing weapon/body visibility may reduce reliability. The service does not provide refereeing decisions, medical advice, legal advice, or guaranteed performance improvement.

Who it is for

Athletes

Athletes who want more objective analytical feedback about performance and evolution over time.

Coaches and clubs

Coaches and clubs who need structured movement review across one or more athletes.

Families

Families who want a clearer and more interpretable view of athletic development.

Fencing environments

Fencing environments that want a more structured bridge between video, observation, and explanation.

How FencingMonitor reports performance

FencingMonitor uses four report families, each with a distinct role.

Biomech Profile

The general biomechanical movement base of the athlete.

Issue Dynamics

General interpreted issues and findings, including their evolution over time.

Offense Dynamics

Issues and findings inside attacking context.

Defense Dynamics

Issues and findings inside defensive context.

Static views can start from one eligible video. Longitudinal views require at least 5 eligible comparable videos.
